Sierra Chao Hughes is a Masters-level professional with 8 years of experience in non-profit development and grant writing. She is inspired daily by organizations doing incredible work to improve their communities and serve populations with the greatest need.

She enjoys using a creative mixture of narrative and data to tell the unique story of the nonprofits she serves to compel support from foundations and individuals alike.

Sierra has helped organizations win grants ranging from $5,000 - $9million+ and raise hundreds-of-thousands of campaign and event dollars.

After four years of supporting the Friends as a grant writer, she is proud to become the nonprofit’s Executive Director in August of 2024.
