WHO WE SUPPORT
Salt Lake County Children’s Justice Center Program
OUR DUTY
WHAT WE DO
The Friends’ mission is to empower child victims of crime and their families to transform trauma into resilience.
We do this by raising funds to support the Children’s Justice Center program, ensuring children are able to safely tell their story, seek justice, and find hope and healing through comprehensive wraparound services.
OUR STORY
30 Years of Friendship
For over 30 years, The Friends have partnered with the Children's Justice Center program, a vital initiative for children, teens, and families affected by crime. We rely on state, federal, and county funding, along with donations, sponsors, and grants to provide optimal care. Partially funded by the Utah Legislature and administered by the Salt Lake County District Attorney's office, CJC program staff are expertly trained in social work, crisis counseling, and victim advocacy.
Friends offers support for the internal needs of the CJC and raises funds to provide a post-trauma pathway of resilience for children and caregivers.
OUR PURPOSE
CREATE A LEGACY OF TURNING TRAUMA INTO RESILIENCE
To support the recovery of child abuse victims to turn trauma into resilience, fuel public awareness campaigns, provide resources, and create sustainable programs. Together, we can transform lives and foster a healthier generation tomorrow.
